The ‘Tips & Tricks’ have been inspired by twenty years of learning and activity, and reflect recent conversations with a group of academics They can help activists and academics better understand each other’s situations and ways of working. The advice, wisdom and experiences that were shared are represented here as 20 recommendations for activism and collaboration. 

Instead of creating a list of 20 golden rules for community engagement, I treated each 'rule' as a separate title that is illustrated and used like a game card. The goal of the 'game' is to inspire conversations between participants.
